Music jams, poetry slams, or perhaps just some high energy conversation with broad smiles and glasses held high. Improvisational playing or saying will be encouraged at every opportunity.
We play old time southern fiddle tunes by ear mostly. We encourage Intermediate and Advanced Beginners to join us. Please bring your fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, cello...and voices. The new Wellesley Town Band meets on Mondays at 7 in the band room of the Wellesley Middle School. All levels and ages of player are welcome and encouraged to join (brass, reeds, percussion). If there's enough interest among players, we are likely to create a spinoff jazz/swing band too.
